The following contains all the information you will need to successfully submit your work to CanAuth.

CanAuth strives to promote Canadian authors but we do not discriminate by race, nationality, sex or any other individual trait aside from that of good writing.

We are currently accepting works of fiction from any genre as well as poetry for a planned Anthology.

Guidelines

1. Do your best to ensure that the work is free from spelling and grammatical errors.

2. Word count is unimportant (within reason), just tell a great tale.

3. Font should be Times New Roman 12pt, single spaced with a tab at the beginning of a new paragraph.

4. File format should be MS word .doc format.

5. While we are open minded, criminal acts portrayed in a positive light will not be well received.

6. Submissions should be sent to submissions@canauth.ca with the subject of "Query".

7. Simultaneous submissions are fine, just let us know that you intend to submit to other publishers.

What to include in your submission package

A nice letter telling us a bit about your submission, be as detailed as you like, but keep it brief and don't spoil the ending.

The first 20 pages of the work.

Contact information including name, phone number and mailing address.

What to expect from CanAuth

We will send an email confirming that your submission was received. This may take a few days, especially over the weekend, so please be patient. If you haven't received a confirmation within 7 days, please re-submit.

We are a small publisher and therefore might take awhile to review your submission, please allow up to 3 months.

Upon acceptance you will be sent a contract via email. This contract must be signed and returned via snail mail before your book will be published.

We are primarily an Ebook publisher. While we will release some work in print, nothing is guaranteed. The goal is to release the best seller of each year in print. Our distribution arrangement is better than most online publishers in that we use traditional printers; therefore if your book is chosen for a print run, you can expect to see your novel in large retail stores.

Royalties for ebooks are set at 35% while print is set at 8% with sequels being negotiated upon acceptance.
